In other words, we took an article about the clown horror classic It in McDonald’s cinema magazine and turned it into an augmented reality marker that only the BURGER KING app could recognise, meaning that whoever scanned the article with the BURGER KING smartphone app at McDonalds was called upon to escape the clown right away to get a free WHOPPER® at BURGER KING. The app automatically determined the nearest BURGER KING using GPS data and how long it takes to get there on the run. Anyone who managed to escape the clown within the given time was given their free WHOPPER®. Out of breath, but very happy.
