The blind photographer.

Volkswagen The blind photographer.

Technical question: if your only USP in a new car is the design, what exactly do you do? Do you take a few pretty photos and write on them ‘cars can be so beautiful’, then call it a day? No. At least not in our house. We worked with Pete Eckert. Pete’s a photographer. He’s also blind.

We gave Pete the Volkswagen Arteon for a few days and let him photograph this vehicle. The result is a multimedia campaign that has never been seen before. Because a blind person photographs and stages an automobile in their very own way. Pete Eckert says, ‘You don’t need eyes to see beauty.’ We say, ‘Thanks, Pete. It was an honour working with you.’
